Barack Obama on China via. (The Political Guide)


The issue of China involves trade policy, monetary policy, and foreign policy. Overall, President Obama has addressed China’s trade and currency policy through the World Trade Organization (WTO) in a reasonably aggressive manner. Since taking office, the Obama administration has raised 10 complaints with the WTO and 7 of those have been addressed towards China. In contrast, the Bush (W) administration brought 23 cases to the WOT and 7 were directed at China.
